Designed for a design competition, this project explores the boundaries of eco-conscious manufacturing through two radically opposing aesthetics. Edge redefines industrial brutalism with its sharp geometric lines and monolithic form, meticulously cast using sustainable ultra-high-performance concrete. In playful opposition, Candy embraces a pop-inspired, “chubby” design language, utilizing recycled rotational-molded polymers to achieve a vibrant, candy-like terrazzo finish. Together, they present a striking conceptual dialogue on how sustainable materials can shape the future of iconic, expressive furniture design.
